My latest hobby is called charm casting. I got the idea from a book that was recommended in this blog.
Basically you develop a collection of small "charms" that you "cast" onto a surface in order to divine answers to burning questions. I have been reading tarot cards for fifteen years so to me this is a more personal extension of that practice.
You can see in the photos that my collection of charms is still small and I haven't quite finished my casting mat yet. This idea of charm casting really appealed to me because I'm a minimalist but I also hate to wastefully throw things in the trash. I love the idea of repurposing such random tokens into something fun and inspired.
BTW I don't really think I can predict the future, but I like working with people as they ask essential questions about their lives. It's fun to talk through what the cards or charms might be suggesting.
