Cosmos 3
I did a series of these space-inspired watercolor paintings somewhat quickly. It felt good to be let off the leash from the detailed anatomy drawings. It's not too back-breaking because I work for a few minutes, then allow that layer to dry while I do something else.
I'm pretty aggressive with the water for the wet-on-wet technique which is causing the paper to buckle. I sorta wish the paper would remain flat. The visual structure remains spiral or radial in essence, but I think this one has a lot of fun surprises.
